The Wavlink extender comes with default login credentials which are case-sensitive and need to be changed as well. That’s only to avoid unauthorized access to the network and keep it safer for security purposes. Also, the new SSID network name will give it a unique and new identity. To change them, you need to access the management page either on the web interface or the WiFi app. Once you do the Wavlink extender login there, you will have access to the advanced settings of your extender. Then, select the Security Settings from there and choose the most powerful encryption such as WPA2 or WPA3. Afterward, change the SSID network name and create it as you want. Whereas, for the network password, try making it strong enough by adding special, alphabet and numeric characters. In the end, click on the Save button and connect your devices to the network again if prompted. Also, note down that password somewhere safe to make use of it in the future.
